Commemorative Song Available Now for $3

Frank Moore, a founding member of the popular band Old Friends and Memories, is a Mountain Shadows resident and has lived in Colorado Springs since 1962. The song, “Fire on the Mountain” was composed by Frank about his experience during the Waldo Canyon Fire and the emotional experiences of his neighbors, some of whom lost their homes.

"Fire on the Mountain" was recorded by the band and is available on CD at Colorado Springs Together: The Center for $3 (cash or check only, please). At least $1 from each CD sold will be donated to Colorado Springs Together. As the band recoups its costs to produce and duplicate the song, more of the proceeds will be donated.

We'd like to thank the band for raising $100 at a recent small concert downtown. They donated the funds to Colorado Springs Together to assist with the fire restoration efforts.

Old Friends and Memories will perform at the events surrounding the one-year anniversary in June. Click here to see other performance dates.
