New Pickup Location for Sandbag Workday

We want to update you with the new sandbag pickup location: Please pick up your sandbags at the NORTH parking lot of Verizon, rather than the previously planned south parking lot. The correct entrance is off of Flying W Ranch Rd. We will have signs and volunteers to direct residents to the right location. We would like to thank Barbara Allen, a Mountain Shadows resident, for providing us with this useful NRCS resource for sandbagging.

Neighborhood residents can pick up their sandbags:

When:

Saturday, September 1, 2012
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Where:
2424 Garden of the Gods (at 30th St.)
Verizon- North parking lot

Please remember that we are unable to provide transportation of the sandbags from the pickup point to residences. However, we will have volunteers filling sandbags and helping the residents load them into their vehicles so that they can provide some flood protection to their homes.

While we are not be able to provide any specific instructions on the placement of the bags, we will have information available from various sources for the residents to review as they decide how to protect their property.

HAVE FUN IN THE SAND!
